CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
RECHARGE RANGERS is our youth ministry that is open to children from ages 6-10 years old. Recharge Rangers are a group of talented children who are taught the word of God and understand that it is God’s will for them to be all God has called them to be. They are students of character, and abilities. The Rangers are taught to show love and respect for each other and those around them.
The central focus of the youth ministry is our Children’s church, a place where kids can learn about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on a level where the young but curious minds will comprehend the message.
Our focus point is beyond the traditional bible stories because we wish to instill the uncompromising gospel in their hearts. The Children’s ministry strives to teach our children that a relationship with God is attainable, even at a young age.
Another entity of the Recharge Rangers is God’s Anointed Princesses, also known as GAP. This group consist of young girls who show their love and devotion to God through dance. The meaning behind GAP comes from the scripture Jeremiah 1:4-10. GAP is a passionate group of children who believe in utilizing the activities of their limbs to glorify God.
Our class consists of many things, such as biblical lessons, table talk (open discussion), and crafts, reward day (movie, food and games). The Rangers are also challenged to teach the class. This is the time when the student gets the opportunity to be the teacher for a day. They are given a subject where they must put together a lesson plan and an activity to present to the class. They are graded in three areas: preparation, presentation and activity/craft. Each student is rewarded for their effort to encourage them to always do their very best.
The Rangers have sponsored on-site community car washes, which were extremely successful. We got to meet new people of the community. The Rangers worked hard, they were cheerful and supportive of each other.
Recharge Rangers love going on outings, skating is their favorite. The Rangers will skate and laugh all night!!
Once a year in the summer the Rangers/ Youth department, an on-site sleepover is hosted for them. During this time we have prayer and the youth are paired off by ages and they play games, do crafts, watch movies, and eat, eat, and eat! The sleepover has truly been a success and the youth absolutely love it!
The Rangers/Youth also had Pancakes with the Pastor. This event was so cool, and it made the youth feel valued and appreciated! The youth got to sit down and enjoy homemade pancakes and waffles with the Pastor. At this time they were given the opportunity to ask any questions they had for the Pastor.
Our goal for the Recharge Rangers is to see them excel in every area of their lives and to know the word of God for themselves.
